Former Waterford attacker Sean Daly rates Tadhg De Burca as the best Déise player ever.

The Clashmore/Kinsalebeg defender gave a man of the match performance against Offaly two weeks ago in his first competitive game for ten months. Waterford will face the Faithful again in Sunday’s Division 1B final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

“In my opinion, probably the greatest Waterford hurler I’ve seen,” Daly told WLR’s Lár Na Páirce show. “With regards the whole package: skill, ability, strength, reading play and his mindset. To come back from the injuries he’s come back from and to perform at the level he does. There’s very few hurlers in the country that would be able to do that.”

Waterford versus Offaly will be our George Corbett Mazda Big Match on Sunday. Join Kieran O’Connor and Michael Ryan for live coverage from 1.30.
