West Waterford's Séamus Power has qualified for this year's US Open.
The Touraneena man took part in a 36-hole qualifying tournament, hitting a birdie on the last to avoid a playoff and secure one of the five spots on offer.
He will now join the field at Pinehurst on June 13th, having missed out on the Masters and USPGA earlier this year.
Power will finalise his major preparations this week, as he lines out for the Memorial Tournament.
