It's a busy day of racing as action returns in Cheltenham.

Dungarvan rider Niall Houlihan is aboard Bannixstown Boy in the 1.55. A small field of four entrants looks set to go the way of Camprond ridden by Aidan Coleman. The five-year-old went well at Chepstow this past fortnight, claiming the Grade 2 Persian War with ease.

Fellow Dungarvan jockey Trevor Whelan teams up with Roger Charlton for three rides at Newbury with Ave Maria, Zain Nights and Shorts On.

It will be a first outing for Ave Maria in the 1.38 race where the going is currently heavy, but soft in places.

The West Waterford native goes again in the 2.13 "Join the Betvictor Loyalty Club Novice Stakes" aboard Zain Nights where the Ralph Beckett trained Cresta De Viga is expected to off the favorite with Rob Hornby in the saddle.

Declan Queally sends out Ashqar in the 1.10 opener at Sligo.

The six-year-old came home in the middle of the field over 2 miles at Fairyhouse two weeks ago and will be hard pushed with Cel De Neige, trained by Willie Mullins well eyed for the win.

Denis Coakley runs Caribou in the half four at Newbury.

The year-old remains unbeaten over heavy going, but also in the field is the Ed Walker trained Molls Memory who boasts a similar stat.

Henry De Bromhead's Capo La Gala goes in the one-mile maiden in Dundalk at 7.45. Alaroos, trained by Kevin Prendergast will be tough to look past having started out well at the Curragh during the summer.
