Waterford has a new world champion.
David Payne of Waterford Kettlebell club has claimed the world title for the 24kg jerk in the Under 85 kg weight division in India.
Tomorrow he aims to make it a double when he goes in the 24kg snatch.
His Waterford Kettlebell clubmate Gerard Walsh also competes in the same category, but in the Under 95 kg division.
