Paul Whyte continues to play through the pain barrier for Kilrossanty.
The former Waterford attacker was forced to retire from the inter county game in 2018, at the age of 26, due to chronic hip problems.
He lined out between the posts for the club in 2022 but didn't feature last year. Two weeks ago, Whyte returned to the edge of the square against Brickey Rangers and kicked four points.
Mac Dara Mac Donncha from the Dungarvan Leader is glad to see him back in action. "Always great to see a good player back. He was really struggling with injury but he's back again. Paul Whyte oozes class, just oozes class, simple as."
Former Déise manager John 'Jackson' Kiely picked Whyte at full forward on his greatest Waterford football team of the last 40 years.
The quarter finals of the Waterford SFC will take centre stage at Fraher Field on Sunday afternoon. Kilrossanty and The Nire face off at 3.15. The curtain raiser between Abbeyside/ Ballinacourty and Clashmore/Kinsalebeg has a 1.45 throw in.
Mac Dara Mac Donncha will preview this weekend's football action on Lár Na Páirce.
