The Chairman of Waterford County Board says they're answerable to their clubs first.
Paddy Joe Ryan was responding to criticism over the unavailability of Walsh Park for Waterford's home Munster Championship games.
The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick will host Waterford-Tipperary on June 3 while Semple Stadium will provide the venue for Waterford-Cork on June 17.
He says they will respond to the "knockers" in time.
He says their neighbours in Walsh Park are really important to them too.
