Waterford's Jack O Donoghue will captain Munster on their trip to the Southern Hemisphere.

The men in red return to South Africa for their rescheduled games with the Bulls and the Lions.

When Johan Van Graan's team were last in Pretoria, the emerging Omicron variant of coronavirus ran rampant through the travelling parties, calling a halt to the United Rugby Championship fixtures.

The rescheduled games are now taking place during the Six Nations window, with O Donoghue donning the arm band.
