Waterford have received a record nine nominations for the 2023 PwC Camogie All Star Awards.
Annie Fitzgerald, Beth Carton, Brianna O'Regan, Keeley Corbett Barry, Lorraine Bray, Mairead O'Brien, Niamh Rockett, Orla Hickey and Vikki Falconer are all in contention. Carton is on the shortlist for PwC GPA Camogie Senior Player of the Year alongside Cork pair Amy O'Connor and Saoirse McCarthy. The awards ceremony will be held at Croke Park on November 4.
The Déise reached their first All Ireland senior final since 1945 this summer with victories over Tipperary, Antrim, Limerick and Offaly. Waterford went down to Cork by 5-13 to 0-9 in the Croke Park showpiece. Sean Power's side also collected the Division 1B trophy in April.
Cork lead the way with eleven nominations, Waterford are next with nine while Galway (seven), Tipperary (six) and Kilkenny (three) are also represented.
