Waterford forward Niamh Rockett is hopeful that they can produce a higher standard of performance when they take on Tipperary in the Munster Senior Camogie Championship semi-final this Saturday.

The Deise progressed to the semi-final last week by virtue of their 0-12 to 0-06 win against Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.

Beth Carton fired over 0-7, while Rockett contributed 0-3 - though Waterford did have Brianna O'Regan to thank for the result, as she made two excellent saves either side of the interval.

Rockett says having someone like O'Regan in your team assures everyone around them.

"There was a penalty against us already this year and I remember turning around to Beth Carton and saying, 'I think Brianna will save this'. You always fancy her to save it. She's a great shot stopper."

"We were poor", Rockett admitted. "We never got our game going to be fair. I don't know whether it was the conditions and the slippery ball. We weren't used to it, I suppose.  The pitch was in such good condition, and then the ball doesn't slow up as much. We've a lot to work on for the next week, but we're glad to get the win in the end. We gave away a lot of frees, we need to get down lower with our tackling and our ball handling skills and definitely the shooting for the forwards. I think the forwards are going to get a lot of grief now for the rest of this week."
