Munster lost to Ulster by a single point in their last United Rugby Championship outing.
Rowntree is expecting a similar challenge tonight;
Waterford's Jack O' Donoghue will captain Munster for tonight's unique sell-out clash on Leeside with kick-off @ 7:30pm.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Loughman will make his senior debut for Ireland - captained by Tadhg Furlong - in the Autumn Nations clash with Fiji on Saturday.
The loosehead prop starts alongside hooker Rob Herring as two of nine changes to the team that started against South Africa.
Lock Kieran Treadwell, and back rowers Nick Timoney and Jack Conan also start while there's a new half-back line of Jamison Gibson-Park and Joey Carbery
The last two changes see Jimmy O'Brien start at full back with Robbie Henshaw returning to the centre.
Jack Crowley and Cian Prendergast could make their debuts off the bench.
