Munster Rugby and the IRFU are pleased to confirm that Ronan Foxe will be promoted to the senior squad next season on a two-year deal. The 23-year-old prop has made eight senior appearances for the province since joining the Academy in 2023. Foxe helped the Ireland U20s reach the final of the 2023 World Championship after coming up through the ranks at Midland Warriors RFC and Tullamore RFC. He made his AIL debut for Old Belvedere as a 19-year-old and made 14 AIL appearances with the club before moving to Munster and Garryowen in October 2023. Foxe made two appearances for Munster against Bath and Gloucester in pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign after recovering from a long-term injury. He toured South Africa with Emerging Ireland before making his Munster debut away to Sharks in Durban in October 2024. His Garryowen debut was in December 2024 and he ended the campaign with three senior appearances for Munster, two appearances apiece for Emerging Ireland and Munster A and six appearances with Garryowen in the AIL. This season has seen Foxe continue his progression and he has made five senior appearances for Munster, including his first start against Argentina XV. He has also made four appearances for Munster A and six with Garryowen. Foxe is the third player from the current Academy group to be promoted to the senior squad for next season. It has previously been confirmed that Seán Edogbo and Ben O’Connor will also be moving up on two-year deals.
