Munster Name Team for URC Clash with a strong side for Saturday’s round six showdown against league leaders, the DHL Stormers at Thomond Park, with captain Tadhg Beirne headlining a group of five returning Ireland internationals.

Beirne, who was selected in World Rugby’s Dream Team of the Year earlier this week, is joined by Tom Ahern, Craig Casey, Jack Crowley, and Tom Farrell, all of whom were involved in Ireland’s recent international window. Farrell makes his first Munster start since earning his debut Ireland caps earlier this month.

In the backline, Shane Daly, Diarmuid Kilgallen, and Thaakir Abrahams form the back three, while Alex Nankivell partners Farrell in an exciting midfield combination. Craig Casey and Jack Crowley reunite at half-back, bringing significant international experience to the side.

Up front, Jeremy Loughman, Diarmuid Barron, and John Ryan make up the front row, with Ahern and Fineen Wycherley in the second row. Wycherley has been a standout performer so far this season, starting all five of Munster’s URC fixtures and missing just 19 minutes of action.

Beirne lines out in the back row alongside Jack O’Donoghue and Gavin Coombes, completing a powerful starting pack.

On the bench, Niall Scannell, Michael Milne, and Academy tighthead Ronan Foxe provide front-row reinforcements. Edwin Edogbo and John Hodnett add further impact options, while Ethan Coughlan, Tony Butler, and Dan Kelly offer cover across the backline.

Munster will be without several players this week, including Andrew Smyth (knee/hamstring), Brian Gleeson (elbow), Oli Jager (head), and Calvin Nash (shoulder).

The clash at Thomond Park promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the URC weekend, with Munster looking to build momentum and take a major scalp against the table-topping Stormers.
