Waterpark beat Fermoy in their opening game of Division 2 of the Munster Junior League.
It ended 13-11 in favour of the home team at Ballinakill, with centre Mick Hayes dotting down their only try of the game while out half Willie Walsh kicked 2 penalties and a conversion.
Elsewhere Waterford City will see their game with Ardscoil Old Boys of Limerick rescheduled. No referee was provided for the game scheduled at Carraig an Áird, while all other games in Division Three went ahead as planned.
Dungarvan – also playing in Division Three this season, much like their Waterford City counterparts – got off to the best possible start in Youghal where they played Killarney RFC.
57 – 7 makes for healthy reading for Peter Jones’ team as they begin life down a division from where they were last season.
