Villa have become the first ever Waterford club to win the Munster Champions Trophy.

Conor Coad's side saw off Grattan United of Cork in Mitchelstown thanks to goals from Dean Walsh (4); Jefferson da Silva and Alex Phelan.

Villa found themselves in an unfamiliar situation as they trailed after just three minutes when Jamie O'Connell put the Cork men ahead.

Walsh soon equalised from the penalty spot before giving his side the lead approaching the half hour, but a Christopher Bullman effort had it 2-2 at the break.

Jeff da Silva fired Villa back in front, before a quickfire brace from Walsh moved them three to the good, and Alex Phelan provided the cherry atop the cake in the 91st minute to bring the trophy back to Connors Park.
