Waterford's Mount Sion CBS are the FAIS Munster Senior Cup champions after a penalty shoot-out victory over Carrigaline Community School.

The sides were level 1-1 after normal and extra time. Carrigaline opened the scoring on 5 minutes however the Waterford side equalised on 54 minutes thanks to Alex Phelan.

Mount Sion were 2-1 down after three penalties before Jamie Brazil smashed home a thunderous shot to ignite the crowd and his team mates. Man of the Match Aaron Healy made two super saves to give the Waterford school the victory.

Mount Sion CBS won 3-2 on penalties at St Martin's Park in Waterford.

The Waterford school last won the competition in 1998.
