It was speculated this week that Deise selector Stephen Molumphy was set to leave the Waterford senior hurling set up due to work commitments – but this has been refuted by Waterford manager Liam Cahill.

Speaking to WLR Sport, Cahill says the claims that Molumphy has left his management team are untrue.

The Ballyduff Upper man has work commitments with the defense forces which require him to be in the UK, but this arrangement had been previously discussed with the county board and Molumphy continues to be part of Cahill’s plan for the inter county campaign.
