Waterford's Jayson Molumby has been included in Stephen Kenny's 26-man Ireland squad to face Portugal and Luxembourg.

The West Brom midfielder missed out on last month's action as a result of suspension.

Both Molumby and Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne return to the squad.

Ireland are set to face Portugal at a sold-out Aviva Stadium on Thursday, November 11 before flying to Luxembourg for their final FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifying match on Sunday, November 14.

Former Villa man Lee O'Connor has been named in the U-21 squad. The young defender is Ireland's most-capped underage player, and currently on loan at Tranmere Rovers from Celtic.
O'Connor made his senior international debut, and recorded an assist, for the Republic of Ireland on 14 November 2019 in a friendly match against New Zealand
Thomastown man Colm Whelan, formerly of Waterford FC, also takes his place in the squad.
