Déise forward Lauren McGregor was named 2025 Waterford LGFA Player of the Year at Lawlor’s Hotel in Dungarvan on Saturday night.

She netted 13 goals for the Waterford ladies this season across league and championship. The Dungarvan attacker is also in the running for an All Star award next weekend.

Munster winning boss with Comeragh Rangers Ger Power was chosen as Manager of the Year. “I’m accepting this on behalf of the whole club,” he told the packed room.

It was an emotional night as the late Rosemary Fennell from Stradbally was selected as Supporter of the Year. Her daughters accepted the award and thanked the ladies football community in Waterford for all their support.

Anne Curran of Dungarvan was recognised as Volunteer of the Year. “I love every minute of it. One day is better than the other.”

Lauren McGregor and Karen McGrath presented the Waterford minor team with their All Ireland medals. The Déise Under 16s received their Munster championship medals.
