It only took 30 years but Liverpool Football Club have finally got their hands on the Premier League Trophy.

The presentation took on an unusual vibe due to the lack of fans in Anfield - but it did not quell the celebrations of the players or their manager.

Captain Jordan Henderson was congratulated by Sir Kenny Dalglish. Henderson was signed for Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011 by Dalglish during his second spell in charge of the club.

Henderson held the trophy and kissed it twice before hoisting it in front of his team mates as the light show and fireworks erupted over the Kop.

The formalities of the trophy presentation followed a game in which the Reds dismissed Frank Lampards Chelsea in a 5-3 defeat with spectacular goals from Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Keita and Firminio (the rest added by Alexander-Arnold and Wijnaldum). For the two young Enlgish full-backs, its only fitting that they popped up on the score sheet having been a crucial part of the teams success over the past two years.

Also fitting was the fact that Liverpool sealed the deal against Chelsea. The infamous Steven Gerrard "slip" came against in 2014 and even though the title went to City that year, the Chelsea fans still sing songs and celebrate that moment.

There was a lovely touch  to round off the celebrations last night whereby the players families were allowed into the arena to watch the presentation after a last minute allowance was made by lock down authorities.
