Kilmacud Crokes are the All-Ireland Club football Champions for 2023.

The ordeal is over, the issue has been put to bed, and let us never speak of it again.

A press release from Croke Park this lunchtime states that "a meeting of the C.C.C.C has formally awarded the All Ireland Club Championship to Kilmacud Crokes."

Representatives of Crokes and the Central Competitions Control Committee met this morning to discuss what the next move would be following Watty Graham's Glen decision to "withdraw from the process initiated around the 2023 AIB All-Ireland Club Football Final".

The C.C.C.C. had previously communicated to both clubs that the final moments of the final - when an excess of players were on the field - was understood to not have been deliberate and "no fault was attributed to Kilmacud for the situation they found themselves in".

Kilmacud agreed to withdraw their appeal to the Central Appeals Committee, and after a subsequent meeting of the C.C.C.C. the title has now formally been handed to Kilmacud once again.
