Hugh Óg Mulhearne from Fews, Kilmacthomas claimed victory over the Easter Weekend, winning the Junior (U18) classification at the renowned 4-Day Rás Mumhan international stage race.

The event, one of the premier races on the Irish cycling calendar, took place over four gruelling days on the roads of County Kerry.

Riders faced over 110 kilometres of racing each day, tackling challenging mountain passes and unpredictable weather conditions. The race drew top elite and U23 riders from across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

In recent years, the Rás Mumhan has opened its doors to Junior riders, but only those selected by their respective provinces. Hugh Óg earned his place on the Munster Spin11 Junior Team and wasted no time making his mark.
