Cork Junior Hurling champions Kilbrittain claimed their first ever provincial title following victory over Waterford champions Kilrossanty this afternoon.

The Comeragh club reached the decider following victories over The Banner (Clare) and Cahir (Tipperary).

Kilbrittain on the other hand reached the final following their semi-final victory over Knockaderry (Limerick)

Both sides were hoping to gain their first regional honour but it was to be the Cork side’s day as they lifted the Munster Junior Hurling Championship trophy following a 2-17 to 0-09 victory at the Mallow GAA Sports Complex in County Cork.
