8th national 3000-metre walk title for West Waterford’s Kate Veale
West Waterford athlete Kate Veale has won her eighth 3000-metre national walk title at the National Senior Indoor Championships in Dublin this afternoon.
Veale came home in a time of 13 minutes 24.02 seconds while Meabh O’Connor of Waterford AC came fourth in a personal best time.
Veale’s West Waterford clubmate Lucy Holmes has also picked up a national medal as she came home in second place in the 1500 metres.
