Dungarvan’s Jude Fitzgerald crowned U19 national boxing champion
Dungarvan boxer Jude Fitzgerald has been crowned champion at the National Under-19 Boxing Championships.
Fighting at the National Stadium last night, Jude defeated Solomon Udeze of Portlaoise in the 90kg+ division final.
The victory ensured two national titles would be coming home to Waterford, following the success of St. Paul’s boxer Michael Reilly in the 55kg division earlier in the evening.
