John Sheridan is expected to be announced as the new manager of Waterford FC in the coming days.
The 55-year-old was one of the few players who made all three of Jack Charlton's three squads for Euro 88. Italia 90 and USA 94.
He has managed clubs such as Oldham Athletic, Carlisle United and Chesterfield in recent years.
It's also expected that Daryl Murphy will put pen to paper this week for the club . Franny Rockett will be appointed as assistant manager to work alongside John Sheridan.
