Munster Rugby has confirmed that Jack O'Donoghue has been longlisted for the EPCR European Player of the Year Award.
The winner of the award will receive the Anthony Foley Memorial Trophy in memory of the former Munster Rugby Head Coach and captain.
The list will be reduced to five players in May, following the Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup semi-finals. Players will be chosen by a combination of the public vote and a judging panel. Other players who impress during the season but who have not been included in the initial longlist might be added to the shortlist.
The overall winner will be announced following the Heineken Champions Cup final in Marseille on Saturday, 28 May.

It's been a great few months for Waterford native Jack O'Donoghue, who became the youngest Munster player to reach 150 caps, last month.
He was announced Man of the Match following Munster's win over Wasps at Thomond Park.
O'Donoghue scored two tries in three Champion Cup games this season.
The soon-to-be 28 year old became the first Waterford player to captain the province in the professional era when leading the side out against Cardiff Blues in February 2018.
