All Ireland winning manager with Galway Cyril Farrell expects the Waterford hurlers to pick up their second league win against Wexford at Walsh Park.
Sunday's South East derby will be our George Corbett Skoda Big Match here on WLR from 3.15.
"Even though they've been beaten in two of the matches, they've put up enough scores to win," Farrell told WLR's Lár Na Páirce show. "The team have been lacking some of the main players but bit by bit, they're coming back. I expect a big game from Waterford; the home venue should swing it for them on Sunday."
He was impressed with their last quarter showing against Cork. "The last day they had every reason to die and they finished very strong. The big thing I felt was that when Davy brought on the likes of Jamie Barron, Mikey Kiely, Conor Sheahan and Peter Hogan, it changed the whole game."
Both sides need a victory to stay in contention for a place in next year's new Division 1A. "It's very important for the future. It's ok to say that the league doesn't count but it counts more than ever this year in the sense that everyone wants to get into the top division. There will be seven top teams in Division 1 next year. It's nearly a knockout game for both teams. If Wexford don't win, they'll have four games played and three points. If Waterford win, they'll have four games played and four points. It gives them that edge. With Walsh Park and with a stronger Waterford team out, I'd expect them to get the two points on Sunday."
