The Ballymacarbry ladies will take on Tipperary champions Fethard in the Munster Quarter Final at Ardmore on Sunday.
Ballymac claimed their 42nd county title in a row earlier this month with an extra time victory over Comeragh Rangers. It was an eventful day for captain Aileen Wall as she lifted the county cup and then helped her sister Mairead give birth to a baby boy.
"Mairéad was in labour at the time of the county final. I actually left the county final and helped deliver her baby in Clonmel Hospital. Her husband was away but he got back in time. It was a double celebration that day. We had a new member of the family and a county cup coming home!"
Ballymac ended a 22 year wait for provincial glory last year. Their first defence of the Michael Ryan Cup throws in at 12 o'clock on Sunday.
