The draw has taken place at Fifa headquarters in Zurich today for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrímsson was in attendance.
Ireland will play Czech Republic.
Ireland qualified for the Draw after Troy Parrott’s brilliant hat-trick kept their World Cup dream alive in dramatic fashion, as he clinched the last gasp winner last Sunday 16th of November giving Ireland victory in Budapest defeating Hungary but the tightest of margins.
Attention now turns to the date of Ireland’s Footballing destiny on March 26th where Ireland will face Czech Republic and if Ireland are successful they will play either Denmark or North Macedonia in the final which would be in the Aviva Stadium on March 31st.
