Both Waterford's Jayson Molumby and Lee O'Connor could be in action for their respective Ireland sides this evening with the senior side and U-21s in action.

Molumby made his eleventh international appearance when starting in midfield for Ireland's 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan on Saturday, as Stephen Kenny's side search for a much-needed three points at home to Serbia this evening.

Ireland are still without a competitive win under Kenny's stewardship, with the former Dundalk boss winning just 1 of his first 16 internationals.

Despite this, Kenny has been bullish in his pre-match press conference, despite mounting speculation about his suitability for the job.

He's adamant that the side are making progress.

"There is a lot of progress being made. You can point at statistics and that's fair enough - but, that's not the way I see it. I've already said how I feel about it. We showed over in Serbia that we have an attacking threat - scored two good goals. The boys have to show that level of creativity again tonight. We know that we can create chances against a good team."

Kick-off at the Aviva Stadium is at 7.45.

Ireland U-21s

It's a much more positive state of affairs for the Ireland U-21s. They will look to make it two wins out of two when they take on Luxembourg in Dudelange in their second UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier at 3pm.

Waterford's Lee O'Connor, Ireland's most capped player at underage level, is likely to be involved.

A 2-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in Zenica on Friday gave Jim Crawford’s men the perfect start. That win was thanks to goals from Tyreik Wright and Conor Coventry.

They’ll head to the Stade Jos Nosbaum stadium looking to take maximum points from their opening games.

Despite being favourites to make it six points from six, manager Jim Crawford is under no illusions.

“We saw them playing against Italy and they had the better chances before Italy scored and they caused Italy problems on the counter attack. It’s going to be a different type of challenge to Bosnia but a challenge we’re looking forward to as a group.”
