Two intermediate hurling finals will take centre stage this afternoon.
2020 champions Ballyduff Lower will face 2019 winners Ballygunner in the Eastern decider at 3.30 in Walsh Park. All Ireland final hero Harry Ruddle will line out for the Gunners in attack. Ballyduff will be looking for a big performance from county star Calum Lyons. "Ballygunner look an extremely well balanced outfit," Eastern secretary John Sheehan told WLR's Lár Na Páirce show. "They have excellent hurlers in every line of the field."
Ballysaggart and Shamrocks will face off in the Western final for the first time at 4.30 in Fraher Field.
Stephen Bennett has scored 7-33 in four matches for Saggart. Younger brother Shane Bennett played a starring in the semi final win against Cappoquin with six points from play. Kieran may be unavailable as he is due to travel to Australia.
"They're not just a three man team," explained Tony Ryan, GAA writer with the Dungarvan Observer. "Darren Meagher is playing fantastic at full back. Michael Ryan is one of the best goalies in the county. Kyle Bennett is coming of age. Their half backs Sam Ryan and Stevie Mangan are unsung heroes."
Shamrocks beat An Rinn and Clashmore/Kinsalebeg in the knockout stages to reach their first final since 2004.
