Gailltir can complete five county senior camogie titles in a row on Saturday. They will take on Eastern rivals De La Salle at the SETU Arena for a 2.30 throw in.

Since 2018, the blue and navy have brought home four county titles, four Munsters and one All Ireland. They are hungry for more according to joint captain Clodagh Carroll. "A hundred per cent. We've girls coming in, it's going to be their first county final. They're gunning for it; they're gunning for a starting place. I'm only 21 now and I'm one of the older girls on the team!"

The blue and navy are under new management this year with Paul Forrest, David Payne, Jack Dunphy, Róisín Hartley and Denise Ferguson on the sideline. "They've definitely put the work in. They're asking questions of us and I think we're answering them. David Payne is doing the fitness with us so they definitely have us in tip top shape."

They blitzed Cappoquin in the second half of the county semi final. “We were a lost team in the first half. They really stuck it to us. We played our own game in the second half and came away with the win.”

Carroll was part of the Waterford team that reached the All Ireland semi finals this summer. "Delighted we got there but we don't just want to be getting to All Ireland semi finals. We want to be getting to finals and winning them. It was difficult watching the final Cork and Kilkenny. We want to be there again next year and drive on to the final."

Tune into Lár Na Páirce on Friday evening from 6.10 for all the build-up to Saturday's camogie final.
