Thomas Barr has been forced to withdraw from tonight's 400 metre hurdles semi-final at the World Championships in London.
It's after he picked up a stomach bug overnight.
The Waterford Olympian finished fifth in yesterday's heat, however he still qualified for this evening's event after 2nd placed Kyron McMaster was disqualified.
In a statement Thomas said he was "gutted" to miss this evening's event.
"I wasn't feeling great yesterday evening and later in the night I was hit with a bad bout of gastroenteritis."
"My whole year has been focused on the World Championships. The support yesterday was just brilliant and to not be able to go out and compete today for Ireland is beyond disappointing."
