Déise camogie boss Derek Lyons will consider his future after Saturday’s All Ireland quarter final loss to Tipperary at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

“I’ve done my year; I was asked to do a year. I enjoyed it; I really did and I know the team I had with me really enjoyed it as well. I’ll sit down and reflect on the year and what I offered and what I contributed to the set-up. It’s been a mixed bag but I do believe we have made progress in terms of the future of the adult camogie team. There were five new starters out there today that didn’t start against Tipperary last year. That’s great to see. Those girls got a taste of it. I’ll sit down and see where things are going to go. I’ve really enjoyed it and I’d like to thank the girls for the effort and the respect that they’ve given me and my management team during the year. Once the dust settles, there will be time to start looking at next year. It’s still very raw at the moment.”
