Former Galway manager Cyril Farrell was amazed by the GAA's decision to fix the All Ireland club semi final between Ballygunner and St Thomas' for 7.30 on Saturday week at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise.
"I couldn't believe it. Half 7 on a Saturday evening before Christmas! You have lights but you could have sleet or snow. You could have heavy fog. It's crazy. All who will go to that game will be the supporters of Ballygunner and the supporters St Thomas', no one else. There will no neutrals at the match. They won't go. They will stay in out of the cold. At this time of the year, you're asking for bad weather at half 7 in the evening time. It's ridiculous."
