Ballymacarbry goalkeeper Lauren Fitzpatrick pulled off three stunning saves in Sunday's Munster final win over Banner Ladies. She denied Grainne Burke, Niamh O’Dea and Grainne Nolan in the second half.
Player of the Match Bríd McMaugh was delighted to see the Tipperary netminder keep the Banner at bay. “They’d give you a heart attack, the balls coming in! She just springs out of nowhere, top corner, bottom corner. I can never get a goal against her in training!”
Captain Aileen Wall also praised Fitzpatrick's performance. “Tipp are really lucky to have her, as are we! So cool and calm. Nothing seemed to bother her today. She pulled off a save and she was straight back on the line telling everybody what to do.”
