Gary Hurley has continued to work his way through the field at the final stage of the DP world Tour Q School in Spain.
In today's second round at the Lakes Course at Infinitum Golf Club in Tarragona, the West Waterford golfer posted a round of four under par 67 to move into the top sixty in the event.
Starting on the back nine, he opened with three birdies in his first four holes before another at the 18th - his ninth. He then played solid par golf to move into contention for a place on next year's DP World Tour.
Hurley is back on the Hills Course for tomorrow's third round and tees off at 10.50.
Elsewhere, the amateur Max Kennedy is three under while it's been a disappointing day for Northern Ireland's Dermot McElroy who has dropped three shots today and is back on one under par.
Ryder Cup vice Captain Edoardo Molinari currently leads the tournament on 17 under.Molinari posted a blistering ten under par round of 61 on the Lakes Course at INFINITUM to move five shots clear.
The three-time DP World Tour winner carded nine birdies, one eagle and a solitary bogey to reach 17 under par for the week and jump five clear of overnight leader Félix Mory from France and Norwegian Alexander Settemsdal who share second on 12 under.
