Interleague Youths

The Waterford interleague youths beat Wexford this afternoon in Ozier Park.

A goal for Waterford from Hugo Monroe and an own goal from Wexford were enough to see them past the yellowbellies.

Darragh Byrne Maloney got the Wexford goal.

Conor Coad's team have now qualified for the national semi-finals.

Kennedy Cup

Waterford have lost their Kennedy Cup semi-final against Cork.

The last four decider provided a chance for Nigel Ray and Gary Coad's team to make it to the final of the national tournament for the first time since 2014.

Colm Harte opened the scoring for the visitors on the 25th minute - the sides went to the break with Waterford trailing by that lone goal.

An own goal in the second half saw Cork extend their lead to 2-nil, but Waterford did manage a consolation goal with ten minutes to go when Fidel Pululu hit the back of the net.

Gaynor Shield

Waterford's U13 girls battled with Clare in the Gaynor shield SF today.

The full-time whistle went and the sides couldn't be separated at 0-0.

After extra time, they were still deadlocked and penalties ensued.

Ultimately, Clare won out 4-2 in the shootout to advance to the final.

Full-time score for Ferrybank AFC 0-0 (4-2 pens).
