Waterford defender Tadhg De Burca is set to make his first appearance of 2025 in Saturday’s Division 1B clash against Offaly at Walsh Park.

His last game in a white and blue shirt was the Munster championship loss to Limerick on May 26.

“He’s chomping at the bit,” Déise boss Peter Queally told WLR Sport. “He has really worked hard on his rehab during pre-season and the last number of months. He was getting close the last day, he was named on the bench. He has a couple of milestones to hit again this week and if he hits those targets, we’ll see Tadhg on Saturday.”

Michael Kiely will miss the rest of the National League with an ankle injury. The Abbeyside/Ballinacourty man picked up the knock in the win over Dublin earlier this month. Queally hopes to have him back in time for the Munster championship.
