Winning starts for Waterford schools in Dr. Harty Cup
Both Waterford schools made a winning start in the Dr. Harty Cup this afternoon.
De La Salle College saw off CBS High School Clonmel by 1-24 to 2-19 at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field.
Waterford minor All-Ireland winning forward Jamie Shanahan scored 1-8 in a game where the sides were level on nine occasions. Ollie Fives also hit 0-5 while Toby Ryan, Cathal O’Brien and Shane Power added three apiece.
Blackwater Community School Lismore also made a winning start as they saw off Scoil Na Tríonóide Doon by 3-17 to 1-14 in Goldenbridge.
