
Ballygunner have extended their remarkable streak of games in the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship without defeat to 61 matches.
The Gunners defeated Clonea at Walsh Park on a scoreline of 1-24 to 0-14.
The win keeps Ballygunner top of Group B ahead of De La Salle who earned their second victory of the year over Brickey Rangers on Friday night with a 3-25 to 2-18 triumph.
At Fraher Field, Fourmilewater picked up their first win of the season in Group A against Dungarvan on a scoreline of 1-23 to 1-15 in favour of the Ballymacarbry side.
Sean Walsh with 1-2 for Fourmilewater, supplemented by Evan Spellman’s eight points.
Eoin O’Callaghan raised a green flag for Dungarvan in addition to Patrick Curran’s 10 points.
Lismore maintained their 100 percent record in this year’s championship with a 0-24 to 0-18 victory over Passage at Walsh Park.
The West Waterford side are joined by Mount Sion at the top of Group B.
The city based club gained an important two points in emphatic fashion over Ferrybank on a scoreline of 5-28 to 1-09 on Friday night.
