Déise hurler Austin Gleeson is the June winner of the WLR/Granville Hotel GAA Award.
The Mount Sion man scored five points in Waterford's loss to Clare in the Munster quarter final. The former Hurler of the Year shot eye-catching long range scores as he tried to inspire a second half comeback. This is his fourth monthly prize.
Gleeson was crowned the overall winner at the Granville Hotel in 2016 after he claimed the Hurler of the Year and Young Hurler of the Year gongs.
He was a key player for Liam Cahill last season as the Déise reached the All Ireland final. He got four second half points in the semi final victory over Kilkenny and followed that up with five points in the final loss to Limerick.
