Waterford's Gary Hurley will be playing on the DP World Tour next season.
A superb season for the 29-year-old, which saw him win the Alps De Andalucia Tournament as well as finishing in the top 5 on the Alps Tour Order of Merit - has been capped off with finishing in the top 25 at the DP World Tour Q-School in Tarrogona, Spain this afternoon.
The Aglish native had been guaranteed a card for next season's European Challenge Tour - but he will now play on the premier stage for European golf having carded another round of 70 today, to finish in a tie for 14th when entering the clubhouse - following on from three 70s and two 65s earlier this week across a gruelling 108-hole schedule.
The day got off to the perfect start for the West Waterford Golf Club product - with birdies on both the third and fifth holes as part of a bogey-free front nine.
When carding his third birdie of the day on the 11th, Gary moved up to 11th on the leaderboard - before his round took an unfavourable turn for the worst.
Bogeys on the 12th and 13th saw the Aglish man move to within just a shot of the top 25 cushion, but he showed fantastic resilience to bounce back with a birdie on the par-3 14th to move back up to 15th, with most of those in the chasing pack having finished their tournaments by then.
Hurley held his nerve to card another par at the 15th, knowing that barring any calamitous collapses on his closing three holes that he would secure a deserved ticket to the DP World Tour.
Another par followed at the par-5 16th, as the world number 554 headed to the final two holes in a tie for 14th.
Holding his nerve yet again on the 17th, avoiding a triple-bogey on the last - Gary was home and hosed.
The Aglish ace knocked in a closing par, his 409th stroke of a mammoth week of golf, but the end reward worth every minute.

He'll be joining his clubmate Seamus Power, adorning our screens each week among some of the greatest golfers the world has to offer. It's now been confirmed, that two of them are from West Waterford.
