Waterford FC remain bottom of the Premier League following a narrow defeat to Finn Harps at the RSC on Monday night.
Jamie Mascoll put the Blues in front after only three minutes when he brilliantly finished off a pass from Cian Kavanagh.
Brian Murphy produced a wonderful save from a Sean Boyd header on 29 minutes. Will Seymour and Tunde Owolabi both went close to equalising before the interval.
Sean Boyd held his head in his hands on the hour mark as Brian Murphy denied him with another world-class save.
The visitors did however get back in level terms on 75 minutes. Darragh Power was judged to have taken down Tunde Owolabi inside the 18 yards box and Barry McNamee sent Brian Murphy the wrong way with the resultant penalty kick.
The roof fell in completely on the hosts one minute later when substitute Adam Foley scored from an acute angle out on the right as the home defenders lost their focus completely.
