Waterford FC will play Tipperary club St. Michael's AFCaway from home in the first round of the FAI Cup.
The draw was made for the competition earlier this afternoon.
The Blues made it to the semi-final last season before defeat against Shelbourne, and haven't won the competition since 1980.
Holders Derry City will welcome First Division Athlone Town to the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
2020 winners Dundalk will entertain 2019 winners Shamrock Rovers.
Dublin rivals Bohemians and Shelbourne will clash at Dalymount Park while the other all Premier Division tie sees Drogheda United meet Sligo Rovers.
