Waterford FC have announced the signing of 28 year old Englishman Muhammadu Faal on an eighteen month contract.
Faal makes the move to the Blues having spent last season at Worthing in the National League South, where he scored an impressive 13 goals as they narrowly missed out on promotion.
Faal started his career with Boreham Wood before moving to Italy to join L’Aquila in Serie D, before returning to the UK two years later in 2017 where he spent time in the National League with clubs such as Dulwich Hamlet & Kingstonian.

After an impressive spell with Enfield Town between 2018 to 2020 where he netted 20 goals in 23 league games, he was rewarded with a move to at the time EFL League 2 side Bolton Wanderers.

The 6ft5’ forward departed the Toughsheet Community Stadium permanently in 2021 as he joined Enfield Town, where he went on to score 35 goals in just 43 games for the National League South side.

Faal continued his impressive goalscoring form at Havant & Waterlooville & Maidstone United, before joining Crawley Town where he played alongside former Blue Junior Quitirna.

Muhammadu made the move to Worthing FC at the start of the 2024/25 season, where he made a lasting impact with the Mackerel Men as they missed out on the league title by just one point, finishing in fourth position.

He will not be in the squad for this evening’s Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup clash with Cork city as the club is still awaiting his international clearance.
