Waterford’s Dylan Moran records superb 19-second victory

Waterford boxer Dylan Moran recorded a superb 19-second victory tonight in his welterweight bout against the previously undefeated Owen O’Neill at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

Moran went into the fight with a professional record of 18-2 coming up against a highly touted opponent boasting a record of 13-0.

It didn’t take long at all for ‘The Real Deal’ to extend his record to 19-2, catching O’Neill with a huge left hand early on before following on with a barrage of punches before referee Eamonn Magill stepped in to bring proceedings to an early halt.

It was the perfect response for Moran from his defeat to Florian Marku last September, and the 29-year-old is now planning to face Declan Geraghty in Waterford in his next outing, with plans to bring a DAZN broadcast to the Déise.
