Dungarvan crowned county minor football champions
Dungarvan have won the county minor football championship.
The Old Boro defeated their near rivals Brickey Rangers at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field this afternoon to capture the Division 1 crown.
Having led 1-3 to 0-3 at the interval, they kicked on again in the second period to win out by five points on a 3-7 to 1-8 scoreline.
Luke Power starred with 2-3 – 2-1 of which came from play – while Oisin Byrne also found the net for the champions.
Paddy McCarthy was the star man for the Brickeys with 0-5 while Conor Barrett raised their sole green flag.
