There was two Dungarvan successes in today's UK racing - with both Tom Queally and Sean Houlihan riding their way into the winning enclosure.

The successes began courtesy of Queally, as he was on board Toronado Grey, who justified 6/4 favouritism in the Download The Star Sports App Handicap at Brighton.

The Gary Moore trained 3-year-old had a length and three quarters to spare over the seven furlong trip.

He travelled strongly at the beginning, before being held up in midfield. The son of Toronado made smooth headway 3 furlongs from the finish, and took the lead going easily over two furlongs out. He was ridden and soon went clear, easing readily toward the line to score.

It's his first win since January 9th, when Queally was again on board as the pair took top honours at Lingfield at odds of 7/2.

Elsewhere, it was a great evening for Sean Houlihan at Newton Abbot, as he was 'snug as a bug' aboard the horse of the same name to land the Racing Partnership Mares' Handicap Hurdle.

Houlihan and Snug As A Bug had eight lengths of a cushion ahead of the second placed Karannelle. The 15/8 favourite chased the leaders early on, before he went second 4 out, and soon led before 2 out. The Sue Gardiner trained six-year-old was soon ridden, and he kept on strongly and went clear in the run-in.

It's a first ever win for the son of Shirocco, who struck the crossbar with Houlihan aboard yesterday, finishing 2nd in a 2-mile 5 and a half furlong affair at Fontwell.

It's also a first win for Houlihan since he made his riding return from a lengthy injury. He rode 15 winners last season, and this is the first winner of what is hoped will be a successful 2021-22 national hunt campaign.

Queally rides again tomorrow, when he partners with Spiceline in the Cazoo Fillies' Nursery Handicap at Wolverhampton. That race goes to post at 4.45.
