Dungarvan and Clonea played out a thriller in Group D of the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship yesterday afternoon, and the sides couldn't be separated at the finish in Fraher Field.
Jason Gleeson starred on the day for Clonea as he pitched in with 0-14, while Patrick Curran was once again to the fore for the Old Boro with 0-11.
Clonea looked likely to take the two points on offer heading into injury time as they led 1-18 to 0-16, but up stepped Michael Kiely, who finished with 1-3, to raise a green flag in the 64th minute to restore parity for the Old Boro.
He snuck the Blues ahead late on before Gleeson drew the teams level late on for the eighth time in the second half. Dungarvan did have an opportunity to win the game but a late free from Curran went wide.
James Power was on target for Clonea with the game's first goal in the opening half as Dungarvan held a narrow 0-11 to 1-7 lead at the interval.
The result means Dungarvan will have to wait and see who comes out on top in the group's final clash between Clonea and Fourmilewater before confirming their place in the last 8.
Should Clonea come out victorious by 8 points or more, they will top the group - but anything less, and it will be the Old Boro who book their place in the quarter finals.
